Tempo em Ílhavo 7 dias
Ílhavo é sede de um município com o mesmo nome e uma cidade com cerca de 38 598 habitantes (2011).
A cidade é famosa pela sua indústria da porcelana Vista Alegre. Ílhavo está profundamente ligada à pesca do bacalhau. Durante todo o século XX, a maioria dos capitães que faziam companhas de longo curso eram originários de Ílhavo.
As ligações desta cidade com o mar podem ser vistas no Museu Marítimo de Ílhavo, que tem o único arrastão lateral de pesca do bacalhau, sobrevivente. Este navio faz parte integrante do Museu e alberga exposições temporárias.
A gastronomia está, inevitavelmente, ligada ao mar. Existem inúmeros pratos de bacalhau, cujas tradições são promovidas e preservadas pela Confraria Gastronómica do Bacalhau. Também se destacam como especialidades culinárias locais a caldeirada de enguias, as padas e o folar do Vale de Ílhavo igualmente famosos e apreciados.
